The Fermentarium

Upon request, we provide space in the Fermentarium (350m²) for one-off events for artists from the region at the SwissBierMuseum.

This space can also host conferences, meetings, workshops, or semi-permanent museum exhibitions alongside art exhibitions.

Possible exhibition periods
From February to June and from September to December.

Priority is given to bluefactory, our partner in the use of the space, for their exhibitions, followed by specific requests (subject to availability).

In rare cases, the Foundation reserves the right to request that an exhibition be moved in the event of a scheduling or location conflict, in agreement with the exhibitors.

Duration
: minimum one week – maximum to be discussed

Special features
The space is not soundproofed and is not suitable for noisy activities. This space is punctuated by industrial columns, which give it an original aesthetic character, but also make it restrictive.


’s RequirementsThe standard exhibition space for an art exhibition is approximately one-third of the room’s walls and surfaces (equivalent to a wall length of between 35 and 40 meters).

The maximum capacity of the room is 50 people, in accordance with current safety standards. For vernissages, the capacity in the adjoining area is 100 people.

Upon request, it is possible to reserve additional space (additional fees may apply) with the Foundation's approval.

The museum is responsible for cleaning the room.

Exhibitors are responsible for setting up and restoring the exhibition space (walls and partitions).

Special requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis, and the Foundation will do its best to accommodate them.

We request that all explanatory materials and communications be provided in at least French and German (English optional).

This offer is valid only for art exhibitions by artists from the region. For artists from elsewhere or requests from institutions or foundations, applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The Foundation reserves the right to refuse an exhibition if it is not in keeping with the spirit of the venue, its availability, its audience, or compatible with the Museum's activities.

Communication
The Foundation is committed to promoting your exhibition on its website, social media, and through the “In Situ” platform. bluefactory may also promote the exhibition on these channels with their consent and under their terms (for more information, please contact them directly). We can also dedicate a page on our website to showcase the exhibition and the artist (upon request).

All promotion and advertising for the exhibition must mention the SwissBierMuseum and its supporters (Coriolis and Loterie Romande with their logos) and the venue as "Espace Fermentarium at bluefactory."

Opening and Closing Receptions
Opening and closing receptions can be held on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons during museum hours. Other time slots are available, but may incur additional fees.

Educational programs related to the exhibition
” Activities related to the exhibition (guided tours, lectures, or workshops) and the presence of artists or organizers during opening hours are strongly recommended and encouraged. Special opening hours are available upon request.

Accessibility
The venue is open to the public for 6 hours per week during its regular hours. Extended hours and special openings are possible and are the responsibility of the exhibitor (to be arranged). See our Access page for specific times.

Admission to the hall may be charged in some cases, possibly combined with admission to the museum.


Fees Fees will be charged for organization, cleanup, and supplies:
